Candle Care Guide

To get the most from your Ciryana candle, follow these simple care tips.

First Burn

The first burn is the most important. Allow your candle to burn until the entire surface has melted into a full melt pool — this prevents tunnelling and ensures an even burn every time. This typically takes 2-3 hours.

Trim Your Wick

Before every burn, trim your wick to 5mm. This prevents mushrooming, black soot and uneven burning. A wick trimmer works best, but small scissors will do.

Burn Time

Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Allow it to cool and solidify completely before relighting.

Keep It Clean

Keep your candle free from wick trimmings, dust and debris. These can cause uneven burning or fire hazards.

Safety First

• Never leave a burning candle unattended
• Keep away from children and pets
• Place on a heat-resistant surface
• Keep away from drafts and flammable materials
• Stop burning when 1cm of wax remains

Reuse Your Vessel

Once your candle has finished, clean out the vessel with warm soapy water and repurpose it as a beautiful storage jar, planter or pen holder.
